By using securityscore.com.au and the Security Score assessment, you agree to these terms. Last updated: August 2026.
What Security Score is (and isn’t)
Security Score is a free, point-in-time self-assessment based on the answers you provide. Your score and report are general information intended to help you prioritise security improvements. They are not a security audit, penetration test, certification, compliance attestation, or legal advice, and they do not guarantee that your business is secure or compliant with any standard or law. Framework references (ACSC Essential Eight, ISO 27001, SOC 2, Australian Privacy Act) are indicative mappings only; formal certification requires an independent assessment.
Your responsibilities
The accuracy of your report depends on the accuracy of your answers. Decisions you make based on the report are your own, and we recommend seeking professional advice for significant security, legal or compliance decisions.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, Defyn excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the assessment and report. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian law.
Intellectual property
The Security Score assessment, scoring methodology, reports and site content are owned by Defyn. Your report is yours to use within your business; please don’t republish or resell the assessment itself.
